Dr. Tei-Fu Chen, Founder and Chairman of the Board

Dr. Chen began a quest for health at an early age, when as an ill child herbal formulas helped restore his health. He developed a deep desire to study nutrition, herbs, and eventually created the Philosophy of Regeneration. For many years his grandfather, an herbal doctor, trained him in the preparation and uses of herb-food formulas. Dr. Chen received a Pharmacy degree from Kaoshiung Medical College, where he met and married Oi Lin Chen, M.D. - a licensed physician in the U.S., and now President of Sunrider International. He then served in the Taiwan Air Force as a pharmacist and medical officer, and in 1974 came to the U.S. and continued his biochemical research. In 1982, Dr. Chen combined knowledge of exclusive herbal formulations with innovative processing techniques and founded Sunrider International. His motivation is based in good will and heartfelt caring for people and their well-being.
